Solar Lens didn't do it's job

I got a solar lens. It arrived today at 3 p.m. in the mail - Amazon Fail! But, it didn't matter. It didn't work any way. Did create a really cool pic though.

It did turn out to be a really cool picture. I tried to capture the eclipse with my P&S camera but it didn't work.

Heartbreaking about the lens. Maybe just as well it didn't work like you wanted it to anyway but it is a very unique photo

*big frowny face* bummer! I had to go to manual get my settings way down, then I would have to adjust again for clouds. I want a re-do tomorrow, but my understanding is that probably won't happen...

@featherstone26 I had my shutter as fast as it would go. The filter just wasn't enough for what I was looking at.
