Well, really it's my kitchen floor, but I'm using it to replicate the painting style of Piet Mondrian, a Dutch painter. While I liked some of his paintings of trees and farms, this just doesn't scream famous work of art to me. I guess this is why we don't have real artwork in our house, just souvenirs we have collected.
Art is a very subjective thing. There was an "artsy" film we watched back in my high school days and it summed this up in a very fun statement which I find quite appropriate here: one man's ceiling is another man's floor.
@olivetreeann Hahahahaha! I love that. When we lived in Germany, they mostly used tile flooring, but they used wood slats on the ceiling. It was beautiful, but a little strange at first! LOL!
