Beneath NC's giant pine trees is a carpet of pine needles that are easily 7 or 8 inches long. Many people use these pine needles like mulch because you can buy it at garden centers.
@digitalrn Hahaha! No, I think it's just sap that has dried on it. It almost looks like it has been painted. It was pretty warm just a few days ago and the temps dropped suddenly last night.
