This is my husband's favorite wild flower. One of it's many names is hen bit dead nettle and he thinks the name is hilarious. So nice to see your photo of it green and blooming!
Nice detail! Not that it matters, but as Linda mentioned, this is henbit, Lamium amplexicaule. It's a member of the mint family. If you've seen corn fields appear carpeted with purple flowers in the spring, it was probably henbit.
