Finally done and ready for the freezer! by homeschoolmom

Finally done and ready for the freezer!

My afternoon project was cooking 20 pounds of ground beef for upcoming meals. I made meatloaf muffins, mini meatballs, taco meat and sloppy joes, and prepared 6 hamburger patties. Some of the taco meat was bagged into individual serving sizes (5 ounces) to help keep me and my daughter on our diets. She also cooked brown rice and bagged it into 1/2 cup portions. So, both freezers are full again! We have quick meals for busy nights.
This is just waaaaay too efficient Lisa. Great job and cool capture.

That's a lot of work, but when things get busy, you'll be so glad you did this now!

@melston Thanks so much for the FAV!
@bill_fe It's either do this, or eat out all the time, and that gets expensive with 5 people.
@randystreat @hoosierhokie @joemuli Thanks!
@melpitts We have an old chest freezer that we bought in IL a long time ago. It if breaks down, we are in trouble! LOL! Can't feed 3 teenagers without it.
@olivetreeann Thanks. Makes life a lot easier on us.

This is so ambitious, Lisa. I am both awed and jealous of your efficiency. We play the "what's for supper?" and "let's order out" game way too often. Great photo and effort!
