That's my youngest son there playing center with his hand on the football. This is his first snap with the 13U team. After his team, the 12U team, beat their opponent 50-0 (consequently, the other team actually forfeited the game in the middle of the 4th quarter), many of the 12U boys stepped up to help out the 13U team, who was short a few players for their game. He was only supposed to help out playing offensive guard, but during the second half of the game, he got to play center. The 13U boys lost 6-13. But, considering a few of the 12U boys already play up because of their size and several more were playing up to fill empty positions, they didn't do too bad. Good thing they often practice together. But, playing 2 games on a very hot, dusty day made him very hungry. He ate an entire 12-inch pepperoni pizza by himself for dinner, and then had chocolate cake for dessert!
