My daughter had a dentist appointment in Durham today with the specialist who will make the crown and the "guide" for the implant she is getting....eventually. Right now she's still waiting for the second bone graft to heal. So we wait until May. In the meantime, we found a Kroger down the street from the dentist office. Happy Me. I love Kroger stores. We always stopped at the Kroger when we went home to get local favorites, like pepperoni rolls and Oliverio peppers. And I totally got hooked on their sushi when we lived in Indiana. Unfortunately, this store didn't have sushi or Oliverio peppers. Bummer. Still exciting to see something from home.
We have Fry's here in Yuma and when we travel we go to Smith's and Fred Meyer, all part of the Kroger Family. When I was in San Diego last time I found that Ralph's is now Kroger also. I think they are buying up all the different chains.
@lindasees Everywhere we have lived, we've gotten hooked on a local store. I grew up with Kroger and stopped by the Kroger near our house in Indy often. In NH, it was Market Basket. Here in NC, I would have to say Piggly Wiggly. Didn't really like any of the local chains when we lived in IL. They were too expensive, although Dierberg's was much nicer than Schnucks! @stownsend That's how they get to be so big. Wish we had one in our town. We have Wal-mart, a tiny Piggly Wiggly and several Food Lions.
@homeschoolmom Oh, you do need a Kroger! I miss Food Lion - I had it in SC....they don't always have what you want but the prices are the best. Maybe you will get a K!
@stownsend They only seem to have them in the bigger cities here and I live in the middle of nowhere! LOL! At least we have Food Lion just down the street.
