Listening closely for dinner! by homeschoolmom

Listening closely for dinner!

There were several robins in the park today searching for worms. You don't see them often around here, but they were taking advantage of the rain-softened clay. I think these were molting or something, because they looks pretty scraggly, not the big strapping robins I'm used to seeing.
Lovely capture

Had a few here, too. I like your POV. Hard to get that close to them.

Great capture of the robin - and she does look thin and scraggly. Might have a nest of babies around and is working hard to feed them.

@randystreat These robins were in the field behind the fence where I got the picture of the mockingbird. I was sitting about 5 feet from the fence in my car. I do love my zoom.

@farmreporter There were 5 or 6 of them. They all looked like this. I think the long hot summer, hardly any rain, has taken their toll on them. Very hard to get worms out of clay that's as hard as concrete.
