There were several robins in the park today searching for worms. You don't see them often around here, but they were taking advantage of the rain-softened clay. I think these were molting or something, because they looks pretty scraggly, not the big strapping robins I'm used to seeing.
@randystreat These robins were in the field behind the fence where I got the picture of the mockingbird. I was sitting about 5 feet from the fence in my car. I do love my zoom.
@farmreporter There were 5 or 6 of them. They all looked like this. I think the long hot summer, hardly any rain, has taken their toll on them. Very hard to get worms out of clay that's as hard as concrete.
