My boys had a youth hunter skills tournament today. We were there all day. Last Sunday, they took a very difficult written test, way more comprehensive then the standard hunter's safety courses that most states require. My youngest son competed in rifle and archery. My older son was an alternate for archery. Hunter got 177/200 in rifle, which is far better then he's ever shot. He got 183/200 in archery. While that's a great score. He was very disappointed in it because he usually scores closer to 190. But, his D-loop was frayed and had to be replaced yesterday. And with Friday being so windy, he didn't get his bow sighted in as well as he had thought. Either way, both boys had a fun day just hanging out with their friends between events. And, thankfully, it warmed up nicely, much warmer than forecasted, so it was very enjoyable.
@randystreat Haha! It's so hard to get pictures of this sport because you can't get in front of them for good pictures. This tournament was really hard because there were lots of people watching and a bunch of game wardens running it. They kept getting in my way. I have lots of "behind" pictures! LOL!
