And this one is particularly steep, a 10% grade, is the road connecting Rt. 93 to Rt. 48 (Corridor H) in the WV eastern panhandle. (this road is really scary in the winter time). You can't even see the road until you drop over the edge and you go down 10% for about a half a mile. But, it takes you down to the road that runs through the valley and to my in-laws' house.
We are always amazed at the way the mountains of WV practically rise right out of one another. We climb and descend our fair share of them on the way to our son in KY.
Looks like an interesting drive.
