Our his and hers Greek statues. My hubby is a huge fan of King Leonidas, so he was given this statue for his retirement, which is TODAY! And, he got me the Athena statue, even though Athena is the goddess of Athens, Sparta's rival. For his last promotion, he got me a Spartan shield necklace because Leonidas said that the strength of Sparta's military was the women at home. The inscription is a joke, because we have known many Army wives who wore their husband's rank on their sleeves. When we were in Germany in the early 90s, a colonel's wife tried to pull rank on me by calling the assistant community commander, a retired colonel, because I told her that our community newspaper didn't print the "grip and grin" photo she wanted me to take, but I would take the photo for her and even share it with the 3rd Infantry Division newspaper. When she called my office, she introduced herself as Mrs. Colonel B.B. Bell. I am not that kind of an Army wife. The Ms was a mistake on the part of the engraver. Because I don't do Ms.
