Yesterday, my friend sent me a pic of her daughter and this sailor graphic and asked if I could put them together for her. Her daughter is graduating from Navy Basic Training today at Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Chicago. Because of COVID-19, no family is allowed and they are only doing small, unit size recognitions, instead of the big graduation ceremony. Last week, the Washington Post did a story on Navy Basic Training and she was in the picture (she was easy to spot because her head was at chest level for most of those around her).
