Today, I spent the day at the quilt shop using their big long arm quilting machine so I could finish one of the quilt tops my grandmother made 50+ years ago. This is all handsewn, so I had to use thick wool batting to compensate for the bumpiness. And after ironing the old pink material that was with it for the backing, I realized that it wasn't quite enough material. So, the back is now purple, matching the purple in one of the stars. I'll probably use the pink for the binding and for other projects, because I love the color.
