Traffic backed up on I-81 on our way north. Seems like there is always an accident on this small stretch of road. It was only about a half mile in front of us, so we got past it rather quickly. Doesn't seem to be any injuries, as the driver was out of the truck and walking around waiting on police and the fire truck to arrive.
It is hard to see these accidents. This one looks particularly serious.
My husband took truck driver training one year because he'd been laid off yet another job. He always thought that might be an occupation he could fall back on. Well after completing the course, we went to visit my mother in PA and saw two separate episodes of trucks sitting at odd angles on the side of I-81 (coincidence that it was the the same highway, I'm sure) during that trip. That and a comment by a therapist friend about seeing many truck drivers in therapy were enough to discourage him from that occupation.
@randystreat There is always an accident on this road and it often involves a semi. The last time one was down over the side of the hill with the load strewn all over the place. There was a semi pulled over as well across from this. I think it was also involved.
