169 - in this instance the gold of ripening crops! I was at one of the smaller local railway stations in South Yorkshire to catch a local train into Doncaster, to connect into an express to York.
Large black clouds almost surrounded the station, but sunlight shone through onto this little hillside, and the rainbow increased in intensity as my train approached. Just time for a quick shot before leaping onto it and making the journey home!
Thank you Sue - interestingly enough, I could see the rainbow from the train as it entered Doncaster station - and it was roughly in the direction of the racecourse!
Great pic! Perfect timing for you! [I had to use cellphone ] I generally will see a rainbow where there are no ops to pull over! the 'pot of gold' was framed nicely
Thank you Tanja - I was quite lucky with this, since the colours deepened just as my train was approaching, and I managed to get in just a couple of quick shots!
