neg 15 stromness green door

Shot a few days ago but my long exposure pinholes at the beach tonight didn't work. dashed there after work but not enough light and the longer I stayed the darker it got - will try again though. this is Stromness which has gorgeous lanes and old houses

Fantastic light and shadow play in the image. I love how it is split almost in half. The green door and window are delightful as are the fantastic stone textures. Great work, Ingrid!

This is a feast of colours and texture and shapes. I don't know why it's so relaxing, perhaps the simplicity of the dwelling.

I also love the green door. Ingrid, how do you scan your film for digital? What a work of art.

Another great film image, simple yet effective.

This is why I made that comment in reply to yours on my "another foggy day" shot, yesterday. Terrific. The whole thing is a study in parallels. That you got the shadow, bottom right, in a parallel with the line of the roof is just amazing.

Attractive composition and tones.

By the way Ingrid, do you have a Flickr account? I've been meaning to ask for a while.

@automaticslim Cheers Andy - I've got a flickr account that I've had but only started using - I will try and put the link here. It's pretty new to me as I only opened it to follow a friend s work at college so getting used to it slowly... http://www.flickr.com/photos/47474155@N05/

Thanks Ingrid, I've just added you as a contact. I started my account to keep up with someone who left here, much the same as you really, but I'll be placing a lot more emphasis on Flickr once my 365 year is up. That's why I'm asking people at the moment.
