got my photo book from Artisan State today. it contains my favorites from this project so far. they do a lovely job with printing these books and now I can show others what it's been like doing this. this little still life is composed of some of the gear that got me thus far!
@aat3877 thanks Ann. A photographer said that digital files will not last...our old family photos are over a hundred years old and we have them but so many people don't print anymore and a lot of work will be lost. sad but true.
Jackie that is so awesome! What fun it will be for you to look back over your photos from the project in that form. :) I'm planning on making one at the end of my project as well!
@melston each page can be set up with many photos. I only chose some of mine because I really don't like a lot of what I have on this project. Anyway, Artisan State has templates for the number of photos and their orientation on the page...I will shoot a page to show you. so if you have 5 photos you can choose 3 landscape and 2 portrait. One of the people I follow told me that Shutterfly always has free things to order so it might be worth looking into. I just happen to like these hard thick paged books from Artisan State...the first one I ordered will probably be looked at by Evelyn someday so it should withstand little girl fingers! The finish on the pages is really nice kind of an eggshell finish. I just like them very much and the color seems very good. you can add pages if you like to get more in but I haven't and don't know if there is a limit. this is a flat lay book so you can do a photo across two pages if you want too. I did that in Evelyn's newborn book. you can kind of see that the photo on the cover wraps the book or you can put two different ones.
Neat idea. I might have to steal your idea for myself. I have done books before, but they were from events or places. Like I went to Denmark to trace my grandmother's roots and then made a book about it with my shots from Denmark for my father. But it would be cool to have one of my 365 shots, since this is my second go around with it.
@flygirl steal away! I think everyone should have one done or scrapbook their project or put them in an album at least...print something! thanks for all your comments on my photos...you were one of my first followers and have always been so supportive and complimentary on all of my photos. thank you so much!
