This is simply beautiful. Well done. Very well executed, designed and shot.
Did you use food colouring? How did you get the light under the bowl?
Well done. I am doing mine tomorrow.
@jayberg@neatz@kimdavis funny that the ring at the bottom was a happy accident! I lit this from the top with my led panel light...trying to minimize the light reflections in the glass bowl. so, since all the light was from the top it pushed through the color onto the table...works with clear water too! (found that out with my test shots) I actually liked the clear water shots too but since the challenge was for color I did it! my b&w version may be my favorite though...I keep going back and forth.
@californialover@rieva@northy thank you, since I was on vacation it wasn't the time to get too creative with water on my return home. had to use tried and true food coloring but this came out surprisingly fun!
It's a hard one, but I think I prefer the color. Love how they swirl one into the other, the lovely light at the bottom of the vase, and the rest of the background muted. Fav
Exceptional idea! And well executed. Not only is the water in the bowl interesting, unique and colorful, so are the colors around the base of the glass. Fav!
I just love this shot! Your focus is perfect, the colors cooperated so well without getting muddy, and that happy accident of reflection at the base gave the shot added depth and excitement. SO well done!
