I painted this sign for my sister and my mom saw it and loved it so anything for mom...at 92 it's hard to give her anything she needs or wants...grateful that she has whatever she needs...today was spent hanging it on her house after I went for a job interview...this is the porch (along with it's smaller incarnation when I was in my early teens we enlarged it) where I spent my entire life...it has seen more laughs and conversations than I can count, we have mourned there, watched children play touch football and have Easter egg hunts from here, and watched countless sunsets as it faces due west. I can't even imagine the day that it won't be a part of our lives. one thing I believe for sure is that this porch was a gift to our family...
What sweet sentiments you've shared about this very special place in your life. It looks so inviting with all its Christmas decorations, including your hand-painted sign.
Love the sign and the reflections of the lights! Sounds like a lot of wonderful memories were made on that porch and hopefully many more to come. Good luck with the interview; will you be working full-time?
