molten

this was a glass-like substance leftover from the downed power wire that burned for quite a bit of time recently. it was located at the intersection of our street two houses away from mine. I have passed by it glinting in the sun so I thought I would try a macro shot. I even brought a piece home to work with. there were threads of it in the sand they used to extinguish the fire with that easily embedded themselves into my skin as I lay on the ground getting the shots. it's also funny to see the looks and hear the comments as you lay on the ground taking your photos like "I was wondering what the hell was going on!" glad I asked my husband to come along to field the passers-by! photo of the fire can be seen here: http://365project.org/jackies365/year-2/2016-08-25
