That is not true words you are talking. You are a good photographer. We all have our days, too. I get frustrated that I am not amazing with every shot. Amazing is rarer than I would like.
"Tip #3: Don't be a perfectionist. It's 365 photos, not 365 masterpieces." But, I can relate so well. I want every shot to be amazing. Like with yoga, do what you can and laugh the rest off. I like this, actually - and you ARE a good photographer! Hang in there! :)
I know you mean that with sincerity, but what ^ said. Also, the square format is really tough. The only person I know to do it well is Andrew Knapp who does Find Momo: https://www.instagram.com/andrewknapp/
Jackie, I completely understand what you're feeling, and how easy it is to shake your confidence when you aren't creating work that moves you. You're an amazing photographer. Don't let a bad day get you down.
But you ARE good! We all hit highs and lows - & as it says above, no one can be amazing everyday year in year out and your shots are more often than not brilliant. I like the effect here.
@alophoto@juliedduncan@bebecitosfotos@mpomm41740@kali66@vstap@jesperani@amyk thanks everyone and sorry for whining! funny I look at all of your work and think I will never achieve your success. maybe it is the dreaded comparison that gets me down occasionally. I was so down about it yesterday! I feel uplifted by you all today so thank you for that! I think I have to figure out how to push myself for new results.
The effect here is really cool.
