they are trying to promote women's flag football in the states at the high school level. my great niece Emily was part of the first 4 teams to be sponsored by USA Football and the Detroit Lions. not an official sport yet but maybe the beginning of something new. the played at Ford Field, the pro football arena in Detroit, and will play again at the Lion's practice facility on May 20. they won their game by a score of 18 to 6. my first attempt at using a very big lens(borrowed from a friend) and I am not a fan even with a monopod.
so happy for her that she could be a part of such a big event!
@phil_howcroft They have flags on their sides of their jerseys that the opposing team tries to pull instead of tackling them. Wasn't as bothered by the zoom as the sheer size of a 150 to 600mm lens. Even on a monopod it's difficult for me as I'm not super strong. I think I could adapt to it given more time with it but will not be buying one🙃
