my daughter is a foster for dogs until homes are found. Sunday she went on her first rescue and I think her last. this sweet mama, a male dog, their puppy and some kittens were voluntarily given up by the family that had them. they were severely undernourished and had many other things wrong with them. she has decided that this is not the thing she can do for the rescue because the male/father died in her arms on the way to the emergency vet. she was heartbroken. she named him after my dad just so he would have a name. fortunately this girl and their pup seem like they will be ok...we bought all kinds of special foods to cook for her today to bring up her weight.

Claire is doing well...Candace is feeding her the special food to get her to a normal weight. My daughter has a huge heart for the kids she works with and for these dogs as well. she is one busy young lady : ) I am a proud mom.
