lovely image, jackie. meanwhile i would certainly have agreed with you and @annied about ice, until we lived in sweden for 3 years, where we had a daily updated ice map on a noticeboard that would tell you where was safe. we skated all over lakes and the baltic with our kids, including one in a buggy - family entertainment for the population on a weekend :)
