.................. of putting your umbrella down when it is probably going to be raining again in 5 minutes?
It would be nice to think that this lady was shading herself from the sun under her umbrella, but this was definitely not the case.
Took my youngest son to London for the day today. Did lots of touristy stuff like open-top bus rides (in the rain), Tower of London (in the rain), river cruise (in the rain), Hamleys (dry!!) etc. All good fun - amazing to think that I lived there for quite a few years and didn't do any of those things at the time.
This shot was taken during a brief break from the rain in Trafalgar Square. We went there to see the Olympic countdown clock after abandoning the bus which was stuck in terrible traffic.
I love this photo. There's just so much to be curious about with her. Even her shoes look like they've got the Union Jack on them. Talk about patriotic.
