spent some time this weekend re-editing some photos that were taken before I got Lightroom. Think I went a bit crazy with the editing here, but it'll have to do. I did go out to take some pictures of the snowdrifts that have built up on one of the high roads that lead into the village. They were amazing, (the drifts, not the photos!) The light was so bad that the pictures looked rubbish. I haven't even downloaded them.
I'm pleased to say that Graham and the boys got back safely from Twickenham yesterday where they had gone to watch Sam's school's U15 team in the final of the Daily Mail Cup. They won!
Unfortunately the Palm Sunday procession around the village that one of my donks was supposed to be leading this morning was cancelled. Never mind. I'm just glad that I hadn't spent time grooming him before I found out because he is filthy and it was going to take ages.
Sam has somehow managed to convince me to allow him to have four classmates around to spend the day here and stay overnight, so it hasn't exactly been the most peaceful of days. They had fun this afternoon quad biking in our top field which is flatter than the other one. They all seemed to enjoy being towed behind the quad on a sledge. As I type this they are all still wide awake (and pretty noisy.) Who knows how much sleep any of us will get...............
This is absolutely wonderful !! I love the the colour palette & the stark silhouette trees would make a beautiful watercolour painting !! Reminds me of Turner's paintings !!
Oh am so disappointed about the Palm Sunday procession, I have been looking out for your photos.....donks moment of glory gone ....sorrry can't just remember the name...Joey Boy? if I go back & look will lose all I have written & I am a slow typer!!!!!!
Love this photo, great lacy trees & wonderful reflections in that still water.
I love this...the etsooi works..I love the lines in the hill. Too bad about the donkey, but YAY for the team! I bet you didn't get any sleep because, goodness knows, teens don't need any!
I really do love this Jan... your editing is marvelous...fav ♥
Sad that Joey Boy did not have is moment of fame... but under the circumstances was to be expected.... maybe another time.... still deserves an extra carrot for working hard at his rehearsals ... ♥
Awww - well now I'm sad - hope you've put his name down for Christmas... Beautiful shot - surely fresh air, snow and exercise is soporific - you'll sleep through the noise ;0)
@judithg It was a bit disappointing, but never mind, at least I know that he will go into the church if we do it next year. I have been asked to do Christmas in the past, but as it is an evening service I am a bit worried about going out in the dark with the donk. He would probably be fine but I am not sure how he would react to car headlights etc.
That's really cool. At first I thought you had done some trickery with B&W/color divisions, but now I see it is a sunset sky over a snowy landscape, plus reflection. Very unusual and pretty.
I am terribly disappointed about Joey Boy's acting debut. There is always next year.

Definitely gives a watercolor - ink feel to it. Nice
