Poor old Elsie. The piglets are getting big and more and more boisterous by the day. Here she making the most of a few minutes peace to get a bit of rest.
Today was one of the three or four visits I get each year from the donkey sanctuary as part of their foster scheme. As usual all went well, although they have all put a bit of weight on which didn't come as a surprise. This wasn't a problem and I explained that the sudden growth of very rich grass at the end of the spring was the cause.
There is very little grass in their field at the moment and they now have access to the whole field, so they are getting much more exercise on the steep hillside which should sort them out.
Beautiful textures of Elsie 's course hair .....toddlers are such hard work!!
Your 'donks' have a fantastic home & the donkey trust must give their eye teeth to have more of you!!!
Sure hope you didn't wake her up when you took this shot!
Don't worry about a little extra weight on the donks - winter is coming! And, I assure you, the inspectors would be much more upset if they were thin! (I know I would have been)
