This year we finally got round to turning the children's disused sandpit into a raised bed for planting flowers for cutting. Unfortunately we were a bit late putting things in so an assortment of dahlia corms and old packets of seeds were put in in a very random fashion, made ever more exciting by the fact that all of the labels washed off in the rain and we forgot what we had planted. It is now coming into its own, the trouble is I have real trouble making myself cut anything because they look so nice where they are..... blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.......
To be honest, I am just going through the motions here. I took the dog for x rays yesterday and the vets called to say that they have seen something that looks like it might be the early stages of a cancerous tumour in a bone in her leg. The x rays have been sent off to a specialist veterinary radiologist for a second opinion and we are still waiting for the results.
It doesn't sound good, and I am basically just trying to fill in time with as many mindless tasks - surfing the web, playing solitaire on my iPod etc as I can until the results come back.
Very sorry about your dog and hope for a good outcome - a good idea to keep busy but it must be hard to keep your mind focused. I love your shot, such beautiful colours and a lovely pov.
A worrying time Jan....how we worry about our beloved dogs, we keep saying can you put yourself through the agonies of all that pet ownership entails & then think of the pleasures on all fronts...hope things turn out well
I thought I was the only one who can't pick flowers from the garden because it spoils the look!
