yesterday evening I was sorting through some photos to put on my FB page, and found this one from a few weeks ago. It was taken on a hot day when I had put a few buckets of water on the ground in Elsie's run and her and the babies made the most of the situation. I love the expression on the piglet on the left where it is getting sprayed with the muddy water as Elsie shakes herself.
Should hear from the vet today about the dog's suspected bone cancer diagnosis. So I have got all of my outside jobs done early and am basically sat staring at the phone, both willing it to, and not to ring. From what I have been reading it sounds more and more like that is what the problem is, so I suppose we will have to go and see him to discuss how to proceed.
Fortunately Graham is back from Malta, and should be able to get back from work early if needed so he can come along with me.
On a brighter note, Joey-Boy in now almost over his hoof abscess, and is hardly lame at all. So this morning, instead of the usual hot, wet poultice I have plugged the hole in the bottom of his hoof where the gunk came out with a small wad of cotton wool soaked in eucalyptus oil and put on a dry poultice. I will leave that in place for a couple of days, repeat the process and by then he should be fine.
I love this which could be called 'Ecstasy'!! You are so good and competent with your animals, and they are lucky to have you. Good luck to get through whatever the day throws at you, Jan.
Great fun shot for any animal lover --Hope it.s better news than you anticipate re the doggie ,--and glad your treatment on Joe Boy is proving successful
Hope the news was good.
Love the capture.
