if there is such a thing as reincarnation, please could I come back as a much-loved family pet dog? These days ours spends all day every day asleep on the sofa in the warmth of the kitchen. Wouldn't mind a bit of that myself.
It was once a rather nice leather sofa. Nowadays, it is a not so nice leather sofa with a great big hole scratched into one of the seat cushions (and I am talking about a foot in diameter) where our delightful doggy has done that turning round in circles making a 'nest' things that their species is wont to do before lying down. Hence the cover on the seat.
We did try to barricade her off the sofa, but remembering to build an impenetrable wall of dining chairs around the sofa every time you went out or up to bed for the past ten years, unfortunately proved a bit much for us.
Out to dinner at friends' tonight. Graham is being very mature about the fact that they are veggies - very 'new man' of him I must say.
Love, love, love the focus on the paw and the story. We live where you live; doing daily battle for the best seats in the house. We finally had to redo our sunroom in wicker because all the pets insisted on sleeping on the back of the cushy couch so that they could keep a constant eye out for squirrels. The back developed a huge sway in the middle so if you were sitting on it as designed you had nothing to lean back on.
Every night when our dog Jenny was younger we used to have to put a chair on the seat as soon as we had gone upstairs she was on it.....poor old girl couldn't get on the chair when she got old! Love the perspective & clarity of that paw!
Awwww such a sweet shot of her bless her. Monty only goes on the furniture when he is wet :0/ To be honest though he doesn't do as much damage as Adam's mucky feet. My friend always says if you go to veggies for dinner you should insist on your special dietary need of meat!
Beautifully done, love you focus on the paw! Rennes is the longest whippet in the world (slight exaggeration) and takes up the whole sofa given the chance!!! Once our gorgeous old hound Beck got too old to jump up, we made her a step so she could still get to her favourite seat!
