Angus Donk seems to get on better with the goats than the other donks do. That's probably because the other donks are a little bit scared of them, but Angus Donk is scared of nothing, and no one. (Well apart from the vet and the equine dentist that is, but you can hardly blame him for that can you?)

This goat is Cory. Cory is my nemesis.

He was exceptionally nervous when we got him, and I foolishly spent a long time winning his trust and confidence. Unfortunately, as the bruises on my legs will confirm, he is now so confident with me that he attacks me almost every time he sees me, but is still terrified of everyone else. The only way I can confidently move around him is if I am holding my bright pink plastic 'security shovel' which for some reason he detests. Yesterday I found myself in the 'interesting' position of being the opposite side of the yard from my shovel and holding onto Cory's horns so that he couldn't butt me. He is incredibly strong.

My dilemma was, should I let go of the horns and leg it across the yard to the shovel - not likely to succeed as he is pretty quick on his hooves; or, try to drag him across the yard before grabbing the shovel which would be no mean feat?

Fortuntely Angus Donk came over to see what was going on, so I darted behind him, and used him as an 'equine shield' so I could reach safety.

Went to see the final performance of this year's village panto this evening. It was as good as ever, and as usual for the final show the cast, well the adult members anyway, had had a few 'looseners' before the show and went off piste somewhat livening things up with some rather risque ad libs. All good fun.
aw they do look cute together

Fav - a very sweet shot and I'm sorry your kindness has rebounded on you. Not on quite the same level but a friend reminded me recently of the occasion when Jinks was a puppy and I shut myself in the bathroom to get away from his 'advances'!!
