lucky Ralph by jantan

lucky Ralph

Another 'shooting blind' shot.

Saturday was such a beautiful day. After all the chores were done, a group of us had our usual Saturday afternoon meet up in the village pub. Today was the first time that it was nice enough for us to sit outside.

I have said before that there are usually as many dogs as people in the pub and Saturday was no exception.

This little dog is Ralph. Ralph is probably just about beginning to realise what a lucky boy he is. He has lived with some of our friends for the past couple of weeks after spending the past six months of his short eight months of life in a rescue centre. What he is probably realising is that he could not have moved in with a more loving, and fortunately (he does have a few 'issues' at the moment) patient and forgiving family, had he tried.

Lucky Ralph
Super "Blind "portrait of a very lucky little chappy !!

A super shot - he is how I imagined the Famous Five dog to be.

Fabulous shot! Ralph looks like a very happy pooch here. The main thing I really miss from the UK....pubs and beer gardens....and being able to bring your dog with you! When I tell my Canadian friends that dogs are allowed in pubs back home they think I'm pulling their leg.

Aw. Love to see a happy rescue dog. Dread to think what would have happened to Poppy if she'd stayed on the streets.

Sweet!

He is beautiful...I hope that with love and patience he can overcome some of his issues...it can be tough for both owner and dog.

What a sweet dog and a lovely shot. I admire folk who take on rescue dogs and help them. Our daughter fosters dogs who then go on to permanent homes.

I'd have issues if I'd been in a rescue centre for 6 months. He has a gorgeous expression here. He reminds me of Nigel's granddad's dog - he had issues (including weeing on the car seat everytime he got on it) and was completely undisciplined but granddad adored him!

Great portrait of him, he's as lucky as Ernie to have found a good home!

Our childhood dog was a rescue dog. She never shook one or two slight ishoos but we wouldn't have swapped her for anything!

@cookie123 thanks Bernadette. It's where you take the photo without looking through the viewfinder, or at the LCD screen
