look who's hiding

At first I only noticed the red and black bug hiding in the dandelion clock. I have no idea what it is. It was only when I was just about to press the shutter when I noticed the shield bug.
That is a lesser spotted donkey looker afterer bug

Great find -- I think it MAY be a Lily beetle !!-- the type that attacks lilies

@beryl Thanks Beryl. I wondered the same but Lily beetles are completely orange. I have had a bit of a trawl around the internet and found that it is a Corizus hyoscyami. It doesn't have a common name because it is quite rare in the UK and only in recent years has it been found inland.

@jantan Thanks The ones that destroyed my pot of lilies one year before I realised they were just pretty little bugs were that shape but mono orange red !! If I saw one of these again I would never remember its name !!!! but interesting --shall look him up to see whether he is a friend or foe !!

Lovely shot. This is a cinnamon bug, quite rare in the uk and only found in the south I think.
