A selfie! well that is something that I didn't ever think I would do.
This evening I looked out of the open kitchen doors and thought to myself 'what on earth am I doing in here when it is windless, warm and sunny outside at 6pm on an October evening?' Let's face it, that is not something that happens too often in the UK, and the chances of it happening again this year are pretty slim.
So, I poured myself a glass of wine, grabbed my camera and went up into our field to watch the sun setting over the other side of the valley. As is usually the case, the donkeys and goats soon gravitated towards me and it wasn't long before I felt a slight nudge on the back of my neck. Of course it was Joey Boy, my 30ish, scruffyest, crumblyest, (favouritest - but don't tell the others) donk. He is never far away from me when I am in the field. He just stood behind me for about twenty minutes nuzzling my hair and shoulder, so while I was sitting there I took my first ever selfie (of sorts!)
The perfect end to an otherwise frustrating day.
The clock on my camera is two hours out by the way.
Well you look a lovely pair........nice to see you Jan....your hair is lovely! Joey looks very adoring of you & seems to be smiling at us through your lens....I think you have both been at that glass of wine ! Fav for me too!
ha ha love this - love his kind liquid eyes and can feel that hot breathe from here! (his obviously - depending on how much wine you drank i suppose :o)
