Bit of a diary shot - got to the end of the day and didn't really have a photo to post.
In non-Covid times I attend a weekly art group in our village. It is only a small group and we have been together for seven or eight years. Our teacher Fiona is great, and every six weeks we usually start using a different medium or technique. That has had to stop because the studio where we meet is too small for us to be socially distanced.
We have recently started a new project via Zoom. This time it is lino printing which is one of my favourites. I started cutting my plate this evening. Most people like the printing stage the most, but I find the cutting such a mindful and relaxing process that I never want it to end.
That is such a cool project!! I have never heard of lino cutting but I can just imagine how pretty the final product will be from what I can see on this wonderful shot!
So good to have a craft project on the go esp.during the covid days .I think I would be like you enjoy the designing and carving ( is that the term used ? ) more than even using the final product
It’s on my bucket list to have a go at Lino cutting. Adam keeps promising me lessons but he’s locked down in London now so I might have to try YouTube!
@judithg have a go! It's straightforward and very rewarding. Sam is probably going to have a go this weekend. I keep thinking of activities for him. It's a bit like keeping a toddler entertained.😁
