Okay got to read the instruction book again and find out where I adjust for yellow lighting. But since this is bw in real life I just turned in bw. Works for me. So when you drink your coffee or tea have some with me tonight and celebrate. I could play and make more attempts but busy day and feeling worn out. (Or rather feeling my age.)
Hello Joan - ypu've posted early tonight. Congratulations once again for staying faithful to the Jan14words. This is nicely done and a clever idea. BTW if you shoot in RAW you can adjust the colour balance to whatever works best after the event... or turn it into a B&W shot - very handy.
I went to get myself a glass of whisky after viewing this and before commenting so that I could drink your health. Happy Birthday Joan... and I hope you got the tripod you were looking for.
@vignouse Took the day off from work and have my usual Wednesday off. Brought my new tripod. And as usual had expensive taste. It has levels. Cool. But on of the locks is broken and I will have to exchange it . What a bummer. Is that good scotch whiskey? I'll pretend I'm having some in my coffee. The new one gum to hold the candle and wax messed this one up.
Yep - bummer about the tripod... I hate it when I get a new toy and it has to go back for some reason.
Let's just say that my scotch is far too good to put in coffee - or anything else for that matter... one of several good malts Mrs S thoughtfully got me for Christmas. The Scots say that there is only thing you're allowed to put in in a glass of whisky... and that's another whisky! I think the Scots have got it right.
Happy Birthday Joan!!! Wishing you all the best....and I love this capture!! Great lighting and composition. I know you said no to chocolate! Stronger then me, that's for sure!!
Happy birthday Joan!! Wishing you a year of good health and continued enjoyment in your projects :-). I can't join you for coffee as that would have me up all night and I would be very cranky tomorrow. However I'll join you with a lovely cup of herbal tea. Cheers! Wonderful B&W capture.
@vignouse Okay, but I get tipsy on the fumes so I was trying to thin it out. Won't happen again. LOL I'm liking Mrs. S. more and more. Tell her to get into this picture thing. Then I could have two couples I am following So much fun to see the world this way.
@eyesmile I have a sugar free cocoa that I indulge in when I'm craving some. And dark chocolate is good for you in moderation. I have to have some from time to time.
@barbarajdonnellan I may try something like it again next month. The thing I need to play with is the white balance and I want to learn that. I love tea too. Stash makes and chocolate mint that is to die for but not at night. Night I do just peppermint.
