Two good things

I wanted to show the dark amber of the syrup I purchased Saturday and as I was setting up this photo I notice the whisky. I thought I could show the comparison for people to understand. Not my best effort. The light kept reflecting of the glass and the gold cap. And when that didn't happen the picture looked flat. But the light was coming up and I have a busy day ahead. So will settle for today.
Yum! Love maple syrup!

Joan, love the idea, the composition, the lighting... but the focus!

@vignouse I was just replying to you to say I was upset with my photos this morning and couldn't figure it out when the light lit. I was reading about focus in the manual and trying manual focus earlier this week. Didn't set it back. How stupid am I. Honestly I thought I was going to have to teach myself lowlight photography all over again. Ouch-Ouch-Ouch (this is me banging my head on the desk)

I still think it is a warm, lovely shot.

@atwinfay Thank you. I posted it because I just couldn't think what was wrong and hopeful someone would say something that would light the light. And it worked. Now my camera is working fine.

Great composition and worth trying a similar shot again - look forward to seeing that!

@perspectivesimages I am thinking of it. Just seems like my head is full of pictures I want to take. And just too little time. Maybe I need to retire. LOL
