The tv antennae were on the these hills when I was a child. Do they still have those? Don't know if this is an tower for the cable tv or a cell phone tower. There are several towers up there this is the biggest. I have been trying to take a picture of it and been foiled for a couple of weeks. Need to get a picture before the trees leaf out.
I would think it's a radio tower. Cell towers would be new and more modern looking (just my thought) I'll ask my hubby later. Anyways it's a lovely shot, love the darkness in the clouds and green blue sky.
The scattered vertical pieces are for cell phones, making that a cell relay tower, I think. If your provider is the owner of that tower (or piggybacks on it) you might notice a high signal strength (Four bars? Five ticks?) on your cell phone while in sight of it. The lower round pieces look like satellite dishes (which might also be phone related but could also be television related). The antenna in the middle could be for signal (radio?) but I think it's more likely a lightning rod or to hold a flashing light that warns off low-flying aircraft.
@juleshoogstraanderson The tower is red but I processed it in Color eflex with the bleached filter because I liked it better. SO the cloud are affected too.
That's my guess. Love the clouds btw.
