@lizhammond set me a challenge for get-pushed - my challenge to you is to shoot a picture that reminds you of your first happy memory. I am not one of those people with tons of memories from my youngest years. But a happy memory from my younger years is of being in a small diner in town with my Dad. I didn't do a lot with just me and Dad so I was excited. Then he bought a chocolate powdered donut. I have one now and think of this memory. I went to my special donut shop so Norma, at the office and I could celebrate my 30++++++ birthday. To recall a happy memory of your father at the time of your birthday is kind of nice. Taken with my tablet.
When I was young, I went with my Dad on some Saturdays to the bakery to get a box of donuts to bring back for the rest of the family. Special time, just me and Dad, for this one errand. Your photo of white on white turned out really well.
It's funny the small things that trigger our connections with the past. Happy (belated) Birthday greetings Joan... I hope for you that the coming year will see you back to full health and mobility.
Hi Joan, sorry life has been a bit crazy recently, so have only just got to look at your shot. What a lovely memory and special to be remembering your Dad and that special treat on your Birthday (however many years it was!) Nice shot, they are making my mouth water!
