It's water over the dam

It was what is becoming a rare day of sunshine today. My nephew once again accompanied me. I brought a lilac tree and a hydrangea bush and a pot of flowers. These purchases are in believe that we will get some sunshine again sometime. Lilacs are my favorite flowers I love their smell but Hydrangea are my favorite to photograph. The pot of flowers includes some tubular flowers to attract the hummingbirds. I have faith we will get sunshine again and the hummingbirds will come and I may even get a picture of one. Remind me of this if in another 10 day we only get a few hour of sunshine.
Really like this, and love the b&w

Pretty spectacular Joan - I'd quite like to see a long-exposure view of this if you're so disposed one day?

@vignouse Actually tried on but not sure it came out so good. I didn't have a tripod and there wasn't room. I was standing on the edge of a bridge where there was no sidewalk only about a 4 in space between the bridge and the end of the road. Which of course is really just a strip down the road. Posting it to my extra album for you to see.

@joansmor Sounds complicated to do Joan and hand-held was unlikely to have given you the effect you were looking for.

I think I like this version better, Joan. Processed in B&W, together with the faster exposure, has really captured the power of the water.

Awesome shot. I much prefer this one to your long exposure - find it much more dramatic.
It's A FAV!

Did I hear something awful about the possibility of s--- heading your way this weekend??? Goodness, this is MAY! Love this shot - looks great in b&w - sending thoughts of sunshine your way.

Excellent detail Joan great to see all that rough water.

I think I like this one better than the long exposure; all the detail in the roiling water is great.

Almost sinister...as if just below the surface there lurk nasty beasts, swirling currents and water weeds.
