Christmas eve tradition by joansmor

Christmas eve tradition

My family always had oyster stew Christmas eve. When Iposted several other people responded that they had the same tradition . Could this be a thing ? Turns out it is. So this is the oysters cooking before I add the milk. Yes my grandparents were mill workers so milk no cream is our tradition .
Nice tradition. Looks delicious.

I'm sure it is delicious if you are an oyster lover. Not so much for me- but I do like that it is a tradition.

@olivetreeann When I was a child I loved the milk stew but not the oysters. The only one eating the oysters was my dad. Now I love the oysters.
