This is another of those pictures I try to capture every year. These are buckets that collect the maple sap which becomes maple syrup. I am hoping that Maine Maple Sunday happens this year and I can get to a Maple Farm to take a few pictures and to buy some syrup.
@dutchothotmailcom Well this is the old-fashioned way. But the bigger operations have plastic tubes running from the trees directly to the sap house. I have posted pictures of this in the past and will try to find some to post this year.
A beautiful capture of this interesting scene. We regularly eat hot cakes with maple syrup for breakfast. It is just so darn expensive here. I can buy four bottles of good wine for the price of 250ml maple syrup ;-)
