The naked spring tree

All the other trees are beginning to leave out. But this tree remains naked. I thought I had posted this tree before but couldn't find it. I showed to my gf and she thinks it is dead. But every year it is the last tree to have leaves. I will try to post a picture when it does this year.

It's just a slow-starter. I have an Oak tree that does that too. It's just starting to show leaves now- 2 weeks after its neighbors. good shot.

Looks rather stark when all the other trees are growing leaves. It is probably just being cautious and making sure the cold weather has really finished!
