my challenge from @jacob89 was "a portrait with the subject silhouetted against an interesting background" Decided to try my skills at a composite image - the background is from a photo I took in Cuba (2006); the foreground is from the reclamation yard, yesterday.
Thank you to everyone who commented and faved my get-pushed shot from Monday and put it on to PP - v.exciting to be there
@jacob89 Your challenge was for an interesting background - bit wacky - what do you think?

Nice one! The only thing I might suggest is that when you selected the statue in the front that you might like to feather the edge of it by a pixel or two to remove the very sharp / hard edge.

Has a bit of Dali/Gaudi to it. I like it.

I agree with Sean and I'd say you've definitely met the challenge of the interesting background, I like it too.

Like the contrast between the moving kid and statue (in Holland statues of the Virgin Mary sometimes go on the move!).

I think you did a great job for your challenge as it is seamless. I am particularly fascinated by the background image with that little cutie in it.

@jocasta Yup, thats an interesting background all right. I like how the face of the statue is silhouetted, but there's some nice light on the arm, shoulder, and the top of the head
