Urban decay

After more than 10 years of restoration, Manchester Victoria Baths continue to raise funds. Still so much to do. I plan to become a "Friend" and keep going back to create a record. This is at the back of the building - so many wonderful little things to photograph.
Well spotted. I love the colours on the door.

Were the baths featured in a tv series ages ago where the public got to vote on what should be restored? I've got vague memories about it. Great idea to keep a record.

@cazla Hi - yes and they won, in 2003. I live 30mins away but only saw it for the first time last year. I think they already have a lot of photographers keeping a record but I will still offer mine, too.

It really is a dream location isn't it. I bet you could spend hours there. Great that you can keep going back. This is great in its simplicity and all those wonderful textures are delicious!

This is so interesting Jocasta and the colours are great too. It looks as though some of the brickwork has been reworked at some point. Look forward to seeing the progress of the restoration.
