I'm back on Anglesey - and the journey here was a bit wet. To get on to Anglesey there are two amazing bridges - The Britannia Bridge and the Menai Bridge. http://menaibridges.co.uk/bbhistory.php This is what the Britannia bridge looked like as I drove over it. Not quite the heatwave of a few weeks ago.(Best on black)
Thank you everybody who looks and comments - I really appreciate it - so much fun sharing photos with other photographers.
Hope you have a good weekend.
This one I absolutely love. My grandfather was an auxiliary fireman in Holyhead and was injured when the original railway bridge was set on fire - not the major fire in 1970 but an earlier one in the 30s, I think. What a wonderful idea for a shot, beautiful in b&w.
love heavy rains(when not driving,of course)--they give u different artsy effects everytime--and this is one of 'em---love too, the editing-fav:)-and Happy blessed weekend
Wonderful! Instant fav! I love taking shots through the car windows when it's raining! It's a great shot - you can see what it is but it has these beautiful distortions that make it really interesting.
These bridges hold so many memories for me.
You should tag this for the nostalgia theme.
