What a fabulous shot Jocasta, I love the contrast between the faded grandeur and the washing line and old furniture. It really brings back memories of our trip to Havana. Fav.
Beautiful capture: great composition, background and atmosphere.

In Cuba (and La Habana in particular) there is this sense of decay and dilapidation everywhere you look...beautiful, noble houses and buildings crumbling down under the ravaging effects of time. Still, there's also a sense of dignity in this poverty and aging...Don't know whether you agree..
@mara19500 Thanks for your kind comment. I don't know if I agree about a 'sense of dignity'. We only spent a couple of days in Havana right at the beginning of the trip - the decay and dilapidation almost felt like a film set but the poverty and poor living conditions felt very real.
