Spelling? couldn't decide if the plural of crocus was crocuses or croci . Both looked pretty strange. Apologies for "a few crocus"!

PS I think I was looking up plural of octopus for school... it said that octopi was considered almost affected nowadays and that several 'octopus' was now ok to say as such. I was quite startled and have called anything ending in 'us' same plural as singular ever since for fear of being considered affected!! These crocus are lovely,,,,!
