Our first weekend at our holiday house without Lotto is very sad - but we do have Betty with us. Hard to imagine a time when we might walk along the beach with no dog at all.
Oh I can truly imagine Jocasta......very obvious by her absence! Betty is doing sterling work....isn't she a blessing!
Beautiful big beach for dogs to run too......Lotto would be sadly missed but never forgotten.
This is a stunning shot with gorgeous lighting. My sympathies for your loss of Lotto. I can so relate as this was our first summer moving up to Beaver Island and no Nutmeg along for the ride and first run on the beach. The memories are what matter in the end, I imagine.
@taffy Many thanks, Taffy. I've just spent a happy (well, tearful) ten minutes reading your posts from 22June 2013. So sorry that you, too, move to you summer house without Nutmeg. It helps to know that other people understand the grief one feels when a beloved dog dies. I love your list with the collage. We started creating memory boards of all four of our labradors in the days before Lotto's death. There are so many happy memories. Our first Labrador was called Nutmeg.
Hi, Jocasta. We are get pushed partners this week. I'm going to give you a challenge that I had a lot of fun with back in January. Shoot from an ant's POV. And, because I see you already must have a master's degree in post processing and don't need any practice there, I'd like you to make it SOOC, except possibly a bit of cropping if needed.
I hope that will be fun for you. If you have bad knees, back, whatever, that makes it impossible to get down to an ant's POV, let me know and I'll think of something else (though, come to think of it, the first of my four ant's eye shots was on a picnic table...) Anyway, I digress...I look forward to seeing what challenge you come up with for me.
