I was hoping to have a look inside the parish church of St. John the Divine in Patching, but when I arrived the gate was locked. I couldn't even get into the churchyard, so here is a photo peering through the gate.
@joev I think the carved part is probably sandstone. The grey/black knobbly stones are flint, which is our local stone and comes in irregular shaped lumps.
Hi Josie - firstly thanks for the follow and pleased you like my church shots - I cannot resist taking them and have more than I put up on 365 - I like to get inside shots too - I shall put up some in the coming days of the two recent small churches in Wales - I see you are recent to 365 a belated welcome and I hope you gain as much as I have done I do a lot of work around West Sussex and its great to see some photos of locations I must visit
@handymaurice Hello Haydn. I love old buildings, including churches. I'm lucky because I do some secretarial work for a local vicar, whose parish church is about a thousand years old and I'm also a guide at Arundel Castle. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your photos and thank you for the welcome!
